Youth Philanthropy Council

The mission of the Youth Philanthropy Council is to empower youth by cultivating philanthropy & leadership.

YPC is a youth council of the Community Foundation of White County, working to award grants to uplift its school communities.

The application to join our Youth Philanthropy Council is open! This leadership program is for high schoolers from any of the four county schools.

The Youth Philanthropy Council had a great time connecting with the community at this year’s Get Out and Go Fest! This family-friendly event raises awareness for child abuse prevention and brings together local resources, activities, and organizations dedicated to keeping kids safe and supported.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Greg Kapp, Vice President of Development at Purdue for Life Foundation, to our Youth Philanthropy Council meeting this month! Greg shared insights about how philanthropy can continue to grow during college and even lead to a fulfilling career. We are so grateful for Greg’s time and for pouring into our young leaders, inspiring them to carry the spirit of giving into the future.

Happy New Year from the Youth Philanthropy Council! 2024 has been an amazing year here at the YPC! We are grateful for all the support we have received and for our awesome team members who have worked so hard. We plan on continuing to grow and make 2025 our best year yet!

We are proud to announce that our amazing YPC group came together and donated toys and supplies to the White County Boys and Girls Club. Their donations were sent to the new North White Boys and Girls Club, which helped this club's mission to send each member home with a gift. Great job team!
