Tomorrow night is our first practice of the season! Women at 6:30, men join us at 7:15, First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. Bring friends. Let Kim know if you can't be there but plan to participate. Hope to see lots of faces tomorrow night.

Just a reminder: we are having practice tonight @ 6:30 pm because of the caucuses on Monday. It will be just women tonight. 2nd floor of the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello, in case you haven't come before. Feel free to bring friends!

The Monticello Community Choir (both the local men's and women's choirs) will be singing at the Ecumenical Service tonight. This year's service is being held at Sts. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in rural Monticello @ 7pm. All are welcome.

Also: the Monticello Community Choir will be hosting a Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 13th @ 2pm, First Presbyterian Church, Monticello. Hope to see you all there.

Just a reminder to all of you: Practice starts up again on Monday (September 14th) for anyone interested in participating in the mixed choir. Women practice at 6:30, First Presbyterian Church; if I remember correctly the men join us at 7:15. Please feel free to bring a friend or two!

The current mixed choir will be participating in three different church services over the coming weeks.

Sunday, April 19th: The women will be singing at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. Service starts at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 27th: Both the men and women will be singing at the Presbyterian Church in Monticello during their 10:00 a.m. service.

Sunday, May 3rd: Both the men and women will be singing at Peace United Church in Monticello at their 10:00 a.m. service.

For all members currently practicing with the men's choir: there will be no practice this Monday, February 23rd. Kim will be attending a school board meeting that night. Please pass this along to those not on Facebook. We'll see everyone on March 2nd. If anyone is interested in joining us, the women meet at 6:30 on Monday nights in the First Presbyterian Church. Men join us at 7:15, and we practice together until ~8:00. Men then continue their practice until ~8:45.

A message from Kim:
"Community Choruses Open New Season

Joyful Noise Women’s Choir and the Monticello Men’s Chorus are hosting a joint Open House rehearsal on Monday, September 22 at 7pm in the 1st Presbyterian Church. This Open House could be called Christmas in September, as they will begin working on music for a joint concert in December. Holiday treats will be served.

The two choirs have been rehearsing as individual ensembles and have had great fun joining together in a mixed ensemble. These choirs have a long tradition in the Monticello area. Check out the special camaraderie of making music together; all are welcome to visit this rehearsal."

Hope to see many of you there. If you or someone you know is interested in checking out the joint choir and seeing what it is about, now is your chance!

Just a reminder that tonight is our first practice for the fall, for those of you interested in doing the combined choir. Practice starts at 6:30 p.m.,for women, at the Presbyterian Church in Monticello. We will start on Christmas music right away. The concert will be on Sunday, December 14th. Please spread the word! Kim would like to try for about 35 members, so we'd love to see lots of faces, both old friends and new.

Concert tonight! 7 PM, First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. It's our first performance with the combined men's and women's choirs. Donations are going toward the Monticello Ministerial Association. Refreshments following the performance.
