The Monticello Rotary Club is looking to add more people to our roster, and we are inviting you to join our club.
Rotary International is a global service club. Our club focus is service projects in our community. We support those by donating time and money to various local projects and organizations. The Monticello Club gives an annual scholarship to a Monticello High School graduating senior, and we pay for a student to attend R.Y.L.A. youth leadership camp. We also organize Blood Drives with the Red Cross. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Monticello Rotary Club, we raised money and installed the Music Park at Camp Courageous. Our club has two fundraisers a year. In the winter, we sell raffle tickets for our car drop, and in the summer, we staff the Craft Beer & Wine Tent at The Great Jones County Fair. Through these fundraisers, we gave over $10,000 back into our community.
The Monticello Rotary Club meets at noon on Mondays (except for Federal Holidays) at Diamond Pi. Our dues are $160.00 quarterly and covers lunch, and Rotary District and Rotary International dues.
If you're interested in visiting or joining our club, contact us through Facebook Messenger or email us at: [email protected]

We look forward to you joining our club,
The Monticello Rotary Club

Our program today featured Molly Crock. In 2008, Molly was sponsored by our club through Rotary International to participate in a 5-week exchange program in India while she was a science teacher at Monticello High School.

She shared how that experience helped shape her journey—from teaching at Monticello and Linn-Mar, to her current role with Grant Wood AEA. Along the way, she has also balanced life as a wife and mother of four, while currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Drake University.

Thank you, Molly, for updating our club and showing how the Rotary Exchange program can have a lasting and meaningful impact!
