๐Ÿพโš ๏ธ HIDDEN DANGERS FOR CATS โš ๏ธ๐Ÿพ

Some everyday items can be deadly to our feline friends, even in small amounts.

๐Ÿšซ Lilies (even the pollen!)
๐Ÿšซ Essential oils (tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus, etc.)
๐Ÿšซ Human medications like Tylenol and Ibuprofen
๐Ÿšซ Onions and garlic
๐Ÿšซ Dog flea medications containing permethrin
๐Ÿšซ Sago palms
๐Ÿšซ Glow sticks
๐Ÿšซ Antifreeze
๐Ÿšซ Wild mushrooms
๐Ÿšซ Fertilizers and cocoa mulch
๐Ÿšซ String, ribbon, hair ties, and floss
๐Ÿšซ Liquid potpourri and wax melts
๐Ÿšซ Fireflies and certain toads

๐Ÿฑ Cats are curious little creatures and can get into things youโ€™d never expect. A few seconds of exposure can turn into a medical emergency.

Please keep these items out of reach and share this post to help spread awareness. One share could save a catโ€™s life. ๐Ÿ’›

Earlier this week, a caretaker from one of the cat colonies in our community reached out for help. She has already been so overwhelmed taking care of all the strays that had been dumped on her, and when she found one of the babies seriously injured after being attacked, she was completely devastated!

This caretaker is incredible! She makes sure all of the strays have access to adequate shelter, fresh water, and food. She does her best to get them fixed, and people just keep dumping them on her.

We are so thankful that we were able to step in and help this woman and this beautiful boy! When I picked this sweet baby up, he was in so much pain and completely unable to use his back legs. I was able to get him the vet care he needed on Thursday, and he is going to be just fine!

He is currently taking medication, and it's working! His wounds look so much better, and he is even beginning to put a little bit of weight on his back legs. It's going to take some time, but he is a fighter! For now, he is enjoying the indoor life, getting better every single day, and soaking up all of the love!

The first picture shows what his wounds looked like after his caretaker got him cleaned up. The second picture shows what they look like today, and the last picture is just too cute not to share!

๐Ÿพ The Final Step: Return! ๐Ÿพ

Today, our TNR kitties head back to the colonies they call home. After being trapped, safely spayed/neutered, and given time to recover, theyโ€™re being returned to their familiar surroundings where they can continue living healthy lives.
TNR helps reduce homeless cat populations, prevents countless unwanted litters, and improves the lives of community cats one paw at a time. Every returned kitty represents a brighter future for our colonies. ๐Ÿฑโค๏ธ
Thank you to everyone who supports our mission. Because of you, these cats get a second chance at healthier, safer lives.

These boys are just 2 of the feral cats in our community! Last night, we trapped them, and today they were fixed, vaccinated, and recieved a month of Revolution!

Tonight, they are warm and comfortable. They have fresh water and food, and they are resting peacefully. Tomorrow, they will be returned back to their colonies.

The cats we were able to fix today will prevent hundreds of unwanted kittens being born! Thank you all for your support!!

๐ŸŒฟ Presenting His Royal Highness, Gramps Georgie the First. ๐ŸŒฟ

Gramps was trapped on May 7th and neutered on May 8th. At 10 years old, this former colony cat has survived a lifetime on the streets. The vet called him โ€œa sweet old man,โ€ and they were right. ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿพ

Sadly, Gramps has an upper respiratory infection and stomatitis. He needs dental surgery and can only eat soft food, so returning to his colony isnโ€™t safe for him.

Instead, this retired street king is living with one of our foster parents, where his favorite activities include napping, supervising humans, and fiercely battling pieces of grass, as seen in this video.

Weโ€™re still raising funds for his surgery, but for now, Gramps is happy, safe, and deeply loved. Sometimes happiness really is as simple as a warm bed and a suspicious blade of grass. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‘‘

This beautiful boy is one of the babies that we took to get fixed today! He is not a stray, but a beloved pet with a wonderful family. They were worried about him because he was getting into fights and getting beat up!

When we take a cat to get fixed, they recieve a month of Revolution, a 3 year rabies vaccine, and a FVRCP vaccine. If necessary, they also recieve any additional vet care. We take care of ALL these babies in every way we possibly can. Yes, even the stray and feral ones! This sweet boy had some pretty rough wounds from the recent fight he got into, and unfortunately, it set up an infection. The vet cleaned his wounds, gave him an antibiotic shot, and sent him home with medication.

This baby is going to heal up and be as good as new in no time! We are so grateful that he has such an amazing family that loves him enough to get him fixed so that he can continue to live his best 9 lives!
