Goodwill Keystone Area (GKA), a not-for-profit organization, covers a 22-county territory in southeastern and central PA and is a member of the Goodwill Industries International. GKA collects and sells donated items in thrift stores and provides business services such as custodial, document shredding and laser cartridge remanufacturing to businesses and government. Proceeds from thrift stores and business services fund job training and employment programs. Our stores, donation centers, and business services also serve as training grounds for people seeking and utilizing our services. Employment provides economic independence, as well as the secondary gains of preventing and minimizing other social problems. We believe in giving a hand up, not a hand out.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us across the community this past Saturday, May 30! From recycling to shredding to building new partnerships, we stayed busy, and it was invigorating!

♻️ At the Mt. Joy Township Recycle Day, neighbors dropped off their old and unwanted electronics to be recycled responsibly, keeping them out of landfills. A huge thank you to our incredible store teams from Hanover and Shrewsbury, who showed up and kept the day running smoothly from start to finish.

📄 We also joined PA State Representatives Rep. Justin Fleming and PA State Rep. Joe Kerwin for a free community Shred Event at Linglestown Middle School, where 90 neighbors came out to safely shred their sensitive documents and drop off donations! A huge thank you to our amazing team from the Chambersburg Store for their support.

Every donation, every recycled item, and every partnership helps Goodwill Keystone provide free job training and employment programs right here in our community. Thank you for showing up for your neighbors. We're so grateful! 💙

🚛💙 THANK YOU! YOU STUFFED THE TRUCKS!

On Wednesday, June 3, Goodwill Keystone and WGAL teamed up for the Stuff the Truck Showdown, and our community showed up BIG. We're blown away that 1,163 donors filled our trucks with gently used clothing, housewares, furniture, electronics, and more!

After a friendly but fierce competition, the final counts are in:
🥇 Team Lori Burkholder - WGAL News 8, Park City Center (Lancaster): 518 donors
🥈 Team Bethany Miller WGAL, West Manchester Town Center (York): 456 donors
🥉 Team Jere Gish - WGAL News 8, Capital City Mall (Camp Hill): 189 donors

A huge thank you to WGAL News Channel 8 Susquehanna Valley, Pa. for spending the day with us. Our Goodwill Keystone employees also showed up and showed out for the competition - great job, team!

Meet Kia.

She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age and never let it stop her from going after her dreams. "Anything an able-bodied person can do, I can do."

Kia has lived independently since 17, working multiple jobs at a time just to keep up.

Then she joined Goodwill Keystone's workforce partnership with the PennDOT Driver License Center in Lancaster, and her life changed.

"I cried when they gave me full time. I'm able to save now and pay my bills instead of living check to check."

Stories like Kia's are why we do what we do. Every donation supports job training and employment partnerships that change lives across 22 counties in PA.

"When you donate at Goodwill, you are supporting people to find good jobs, like me."
