2025 was a big year for Harvesters of Hope – with 7 lawyers placed and another 8 in progress! As this year comes to a close, you can help plant hope where it’s needed most.

Harvesters of Hope is addressing Alabama’s legal deserts by investing in lawyers willing to serve in communities with little to no access to legal help. These investments don’t just fill gaps -- they strengthen families, create opportunities in communities, and resolve challenges before they turn into crises.

A year-end gift made by December 31 helps recruit, support, and sustain attorneys in underserved counties — ensuring justice is not determined by geography. Contributions can be mailed to Harvesters of Hope, c/o: Tom Heflin, Post Office Box 1021, Montgomery, AL 36101.

Close 2025 by investing in solutions that take root, and start 2026 by helping justice reach those in every corner of Alabama.

This weekend, Harvesters of Hope's Executive Director, Tom Heflin, spoke to reporters at WAFF 48 on the growing issue of legal deserts in Alabama. Over 40 of Alabama's 67 counties are considered legal deserts, in which hundreds and thousands of citizens are left without the necessary access to justice. Harvesters of Hope exists to remedy this issue by placing new attorneys in as many of these legal deserts, connecting both the citizens and attorneys to resources, connections, and the access to justice that they are entitled to.
