Throw back Thursday!

Small mishap in words while on stage- “There may be no ‘I’ in family…"

If you sit back and think about it though, that’s exactly what makes a family so powerful. It’s not about losing yourself, it’s about becoming part of something bigger. It’s about a group of people choosing, every single day, to stand together, lift each other up, and remind one another that none of us has to do this alone.

So maybe there’s no ‘I’ in family… but there’s strength, there’s love, and there’s a whole lot of we.”

Leadership Looks Different in a Crown 👑

When you think of a yard, you might just see grass. But look closer. A yard takes leadership. It has to be maintained, protected, nurtured, and guided to grow the right way. Without care and direction, it can’t thrive.

That’s a lot like being a Prince.

This title isn’t just about standing on stage. It’s about standing up for others. It’s about being someone younger contestants can look at and say, “I want to carry myself like that.”

Here’s what leadership as a Prince truly means:

1️⃣ Lead With Character
Confidence matters — but character carries you further. Respect, integrity, and kindness speak louder than any crown ever could.

2️⃣ Use Your Voice
Public speaking isn’t just a competition skill — it’s a leadership tool. Whether on stage or in everyday life, your words can inspire someone else to believe in themselves.

3️⃣ Support Your Court & Community
A strong yard grows together. Leadership isn’t about being above others — it’s about lifting them up. Encourage your fellow contestants. Celebrate their wins. Show up with pride.

4️⃣ Serve With Purpose
Real strength is shown through service. Community involvement, mentorship, and giving back are what turn a title into a legacy.

Being a Prince means proving that leadership isn’t limited by gender — it’s defined by action. It means showing younger boys that pageants build confidence, discipline, and heart. It means showing everyone that a crown sits best on someone who serves.

So today, take it to the yard.

Reflect on how you lead — in your home, your school, your community. Are you setting the example? Are you helping others grow?

Today we’re celebrating the power of stories, leadership, and lifelong learning! 💫 As part of , I’m currently reading The Way of the Shepherd by Dr. Kevin Leman and William Pentak — and I’m loving the message it shares about leading with purpose, protecting your flock, and guiding others with integrity. 🐑🤍

This book reminds me that leadership isn’t about being in charge — it’s about caring for the people you serve. As a pageant titleholder, that message truly speaks to my heart. Whether it’s in the classroom, in our community, or on stage, we all have the ability to lead with kindness, courage, and compassion.

Reading opens doors to new ideas, builds confidence, and helps us grow into the best versions of ourselves. 📖🌟 No matter your age, there’s always something new to discover between the pages of a good book!

So today, grab a book that inspires you and take a few moments to read. You never know how one story might shape your own. 💕
