💙💛 Rotarians Give Back to Child Protect 💙💛

The Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to support the important work of Child Protect in Montgomery. Recently, Rotarian Anne Simms delivered a variety of much-needed snacks, drinks, and household supplies to help support the children and families served by this outstanding organization.

Child Protect provides critical advocacy, counseling, and support services to children who have experienced abuse and trauma. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that make such a meaningful difference in our community.

A special thank you to Anne and all of our club members who contributed to this effort. Together, we continue to live out Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self by helping meet needs right here in Montgomery.

The Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to recognize two outstanding Rotarians for their continued commitment to Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.

👏 Rex Huxford was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow +4, recognizing his ongoing generosity and support of The Rotary Foundation and its life-changing work around the world.

👏 Brian Bonikowski was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow +1, reflecting his dedication to advancing Rotary’s efforts to create positive and lasting change in our communities and beyond.

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is one of Rotary’s highest honors, celebrating individuals whose contributions help support initiatives such as disease prevention, clean water, education, economic development, and peacebuilding.

Please join us in congratulating Rex and Brian on these well-deserved achievements and thanking them for their commitment to making a difference through Rotary.

This morning, members of the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club were out early delivering donuts in support of the Purple Pinkie Donut Project.

Each donut shared helps raise awareness and support Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio. The “purple pinkie” represents a simple but powerful tradition—marking a child’s finger after receiving the polio vaccine, a visible sign of protection against a disease that still exists in a few parts of the world.

A big thank you to our members who showed up early, and to our community for supporting this meaningful project. Together, we are helping move the world closer to a polio-free future—one donut at a time.
