During CBC Week in Washington, D.C., the HBCU C.A.R.E.S. Partnership Reception connected institutions, industry and innovation in one room. HBCU leaders, partners and advocates showed up, and the conversations about what’s next for our HBCUs and HBCCs were real.

⏳ Deadline Extended! You now have more time to apply for the HBCU C.A.R.E.S. Impact Grant. We’re awarding $5,000 to $25,000 to fund campus initiatives advancing research, workforce development, and talent pipelines across Alabama. 💡

💵 Grant Range: $5,000 – $25,000
⏱️ Project Period: 12 months
🤝 Eligibility: Open to all Alabama HBCUs & HBCCs

Gain real-world experience and shape the future of care! 💡 We’re selecting 3 students from Stillman College and Shelton State for the Healthcare Innovation Fellowship with VitalSpan Care in Tuscaloosa.

This hands-on internship offers a $300/month stipend for a 10 hr/wk commitment over 3–6 months. You’ll work directly with our healthcare innovation team to gain invaluable industry skills and professional mentorship.
