The purpose of the Medicare and Medicaid Workshop is to provide the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community with information about Medicare and Medicaid, including upcoming changes, coverage, benefits, and enrollment options.

Insurance specialist Terry Kirkland will present the information and assist consumers with questions to help them better understand their healthcare coverage and available options.

919,160 Alabamians faced hunger in 2024, including 1 in 4 children. Spread across all of them, the meal gap works out to about 190 missing meals per person each year. It's not every meal. It's the skipped lunch at the end of the month, the smaller portions when a bill comes due, the dinner that becomes cereal.

This training will provide valuable information on utilizing the Crisis Cleanup platform to support disaster response efforts, coordinate volunteer activities, and strengthen collaboration among organizations serving communities impacted by disasters. We encourage each organization to have its volunteer coordinator or an appropriate representative attend this training.
