Some of our amazing students from Park Crossing High School had the incredible opportunity to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Mobile, Alabama from April 15–17, 2025.

Our trip began with a visit to the University of South Alabama, where students engaged in a campus tour filled with valuable information and insights into college life—along with some fun moments exploring the campus. Later that evening, students had a chance to unwind and bond at Altitude Trampoline Park, making memories and sharing lots of laughter.

Day two was all about competition. While not everyone had the chance to compete, the experience provided important lessons, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of what FBLA is all about.

We wrapped up on day three with the awards ceremony, and we are thrilled to celebrate Taylor Marlow for earning 2nd place in the Cyber Security category—a huge accomplishment!

We are CTE proud and deeply grateful for every student who represented Park Crossing with dedication, respect, and school spirit. This experience was not just about competition, but growth, exploration, and connection.

Yesterday at Park Crossing High School, we were honored to have Sheriff Cunningham as a guest speaker for CTE Month to motivate our scholars to seek employment in law enforcement and/or military or have a plan to prepare & pursue a career compatible to your personality, interests & skillsets.

He gave a detailed timeline of his career journey & sacrifices he made to position himself within the military & sheriff department. He also emphasized to the scholars to make good decisions & watch the company you keep. He sees too many young people making bad decisions that lead to incarceration.

We enjoyed his presentation, the conversation & discussions that followed, by the questions asked by our scholars.

Thank you, Sheriff Cunningham, for taking the time to sow into our scholars. We greatly appreciate you!

Last Friday, 33 Seniors from Park Crossing High School had the opportunity to tour four facilities to explore options for employment upon graduation. We toured Montgomery Regional Airport, Lear Corporation, Montgomery Fire and Rescue, & Hyundai Transformers to network & explore the opportunities available for our scholars to take advantage of to prepare for life after high school.

The scholars & faculty enjoyed the presentations & tours that we were honored to explore, learn, & capitalize on opportunities for employment & options.

Special thanks to Mrs. Fountain, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Craft, Dr. Bush, & Dr. Sibley for the support and efforts to provide experiences and tours to expose & position our scholars to win. We greatly appreciate you & your efforts!

Park Crossing High School CTE department has had an exciting CTE Month of activities! Friday, we chaperones 33 Seniors on a HiEd's Workforce Development Tours at Montgomery Regional Airport, Lear Corporation, Montgomery Fire & Rescue, & Hyundai Transformers to explore various options for employment upon graduation.

The scholars & faculty enjoyed the presentations & tours at each facility & we learned so much more about the career opportunities for our scholars within the city.

Thanks to Mrs. Fountain, our principal, Mr. Frank Carr, our Career Coach, Mrs. Craft, our Activities Director, HiEd, an educational agency & partner specializing in workforce development, Dr. Bush, CTE Program Specialist & Dr. Sibley, our CTE Director for your unwavering support & actions in making this happen for the Senior Scholars of PCHS!
