Last week, the Alabama Chambers Board of Directors gathered for a strategic work session at the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, hosted by Board Chair Laura Strickland. The session provided an opportunity for the Board to review progress, refine strategies, and advance key objectives within our strategic priorities. Together, we remain committed to strengthening chambers and supporting communities across the state of Alabama through thoughtful planning and collaborative leadership.

🏆 BIG NEWS: The Mobile Chamber has been named a finalist for the 2026 Chamber of the Year award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the highest honor in the chamber industry.

Out of more than 1,600 chambers across the country, the Mobile Chamber is being recognized for the work happening right here in our community: creating jobs, strengthening small businesses, improving workforce opportunities, advancing major infrastructure projects and bringing partners together to solve challenges.

“Being named a finalist for the ACCE Chamber of the Year is a tremendous honor that belongs to every member, every partner and every person who has invested in making Mobile a stronger, more vibrant community. Civic engagement starts with the next generation, and Alabama’s future is bright! 🌟
The Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama is excited to host the 2026 National Civics Bee® Alabama State Finals on July 16 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Twelve outstanding middle school students from across the state will showcase their civics knowledge and share innovative ideas for strengthening their communities.
Join us in celebrating these young leaders as they demonstrate the importance of informed citizenship, community involvement, and civic responsibility. The event is free and open to the public!
