Great presentation today by Dr. Aileen Aldalur. Ketamine‑assisted therapy is opening real possibilities for people who haven’t gotten better with standard meds, and it’s especially meaningful for Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing communities because the approach can be tailored to their communication needs. Exciting direction for mental health care.

What is Case Conferencing, or Supervision?
It is a way to reflect on your work as an interpreter. You will come together with a group of other working professionals to share and discuss sticky situations that come up in your day-to-day practice. The trained facilitators will guide the group through processing a particular case and brainstorming options for future encounters, working towards the goal of making your work more effective.

Another MHIT is officially in the books! 🎉 What an unbelievable week filled with hard work, great conversations, plenty of laughs, and so many people stepping up to help one another along the way.

MHIT truly takes a village, and we could not do it without our incredible student volunteers, dedicated MHIT faculty, hardworking ODS staff, anddddd our AMAZING MHIT interpreting team, led by the wonderful Ms. Sandy Pascual! 🙌🤟

And a huge shout-out to our phenomenal MHIT Coordinator, Ms. Charlene Crump, who keeps all the moving pieces moving and somehow makes it all come together year after year! ❤️
