Did you know the April Sound Civic Association is powered by a team of 13 elected volunteersāand itās truly a working board!
Every amazing event you enjoy throughout the year takes hours of planning, coordination, and a whole lot of hands-on effort. And we couldnāt do it without the support of our incredible volunteers!
Hereās a little behind-the-scenes peek at what it takes to get Reserve F ready for our Annual Easter Eggstravaganza:
It all starts with the board (and their spouses!) coming together to stuff 6,000 eggs with candyāand placing gold $1 coins into 150 special golden eggs.
A big shoutout to our VP, Greg Peters, for tackling ant mounds in the days leading up to the eventāno small job!
We also partner with ASPOA to let the grass grow a bit longer before the hunt (because finding those eggs should be part of the fun š).
The day before, our team rolls up their sleeves for a full cleanupāclearing limbs, trash, and yes⦠even pet wasteāto make the space safe and enjoyable for everyone. We rope off areas for each age group, gather supplies from storage, and prep every detail.
Then on event day, weāre out there bright and early at 8:00 AMāsetting up, welcoming vendors (petting zoo, pony rides, train rides), organizing parking, and getting everything ready for the Easter Bunnyās big arrival before the 11:30 kickoff!
As you can see, thereās a lot that happens behind the scenes to make these FREE community events possible. They are funded through memberships and fundraisingāand weād love for you to be part of it.

Thank you to our clean up crew, along with a few volunteers from the April Sound Church, and a big thank you to our newest board members Winn Molnari and Jessica Bastidas Molnari for the use of your enclosed trailer to load everything up in one trip.
