Join us for a three-day exploration of still life art inspired by the Masters of Classical Art. Students will learn about famous artists, the history of still life art, color theory, the elements of art, and how virtues can be cultivated and reflected through artistic creation. Still life studies help artists develop observation skills, composition, and an understanding of color and design.

Camp Includes:
• Three guided art projects inspired by master artists
• Instruction in drawing and color theory
• Daily snack
• Three completed works of art to take home

Superintendent Lyman Woodfin said the work addresses long-standing needs across the system. “This is something that has been needed for a long time,” Woodfin said. “Especially in our athletic programs and basic facility needs, this moves us forward in a meaningful way.”

Maxwell AFB will host their event on 31 July at Maxwell Elementary and Middle school from 9-12. Make sure you sign up to get a backpack. We will have representatives from the local public schools as well as base organizations and other programs for you to engage with.
