Camp Sunshine Camp Sunshine is an outreach program designed for girls with limited recreational opportunities. McDonough St.

Camp Sunshine strives to provide girls with a safe, fun and friendship-filled week. The program is designed to promote:
•Respect & consideration for people and the environment
•Self reliance & personal responsibility
•Success in school
•Teamwork

The curriculum of the week-long camp combines traditional day camp activities with field trips and educational presentations that include topis such as:


•Substance abuse
•Health & hygiene
•Career choices
•Other topics of interest to girls

Camp Sunshine is sponsored by Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, Inc. in collaboration with other community institutions, organizations, agencies and volunteers. The program is totally funded through contributions and in-kind gifts. Monetary contributions may be sent to:
