Jubilee Community Center

Jubilee Community Center We provide space and opportunity for a diverse and creative community to thrive. Jubilee Community Center, Inc.

nonprofit was founded in 1997 by a group of community members and interfaith clergy. The board took an under-utilized historic former Episcopal church property and decided to re-imagine it. A place where diverse neighborhoods could converge to address the needs of the community was born. JCC has continued to evolve as the community around us has transformed. The Jubilee Community Center is dedicat

ed to fostering mental, physical, spiritual, and social development, with an emphasis on the arts. In recent years, the JCC has offered arts programming in our main building (known as The Sanctuary): including culturally diverse local and international musicians, concerts, spoken word poetry readings, art shows, and classes taught by local artists. The adjoining workshop houses one of our tenants: Technical Earth Recorders, a recording studio. We often have additional tenants that use our main space for church services or regular classes. Additionally, the JCC serves as a community event space utilized heavily by local nonprofits for public and private meetings and events. A volunteer board oversees both The Jubilee Community Center nonprofit and The Sanctuary event space.
