💚🩷 Juneteenth Sisterly Relations 🩷💚

In the spirit of fellowship, reflection, and celebration, the Sisterly Relations Committee of the Omega Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. gathered for lunch at Aya Soulful Dining before enjoying an educational walk through Montgomery Square.

Created by the Equal Justice Initiative, Montgomery Square is an outdoor legacy site dedicated to the “Montgomery Decade” (1955–1965) that changed the world. The site honors the unsung heroes of the Civil Rights Movement, the community members who sustained the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and the courageous individuals who marched for voting rights, helping to shape a more just and equitable future.

As we commemorate Juneteenth, we are reminded that freedom was hard fought and that learning our history is essential to preserving its legacy. Through sisterhood, reflection, and shared experiences, we continue to honor those who paved the way and inspire future generations to carry their stories forward.

💚🩷 Omega Chi Omega Chapter June Social Recap 🩷💚

On Saturday, following our June Chapter Meeting, the members of Omega Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® came together for an afternoon centered on sisterhood, wellness, and connection.

Our theme, “My Sister’s Keeper: How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways,” reminded us that caring for one another begins with caring for ourselves. Through meaningful discussions on mental health care, women’s physical health, and practical wellness tips, we reinforced the importance of prioritizing our well-being while supporting our sisters along the way.

The afternoon was filled with opportunities to strengthen our bonds through sisterly fellowship, line dancing, and our Paraphernalia Swap Shop.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this social a wonderful celebration of sisterhood, self-care, and service. Together, we continue to embody what it means to be our sister’s keeper.

💗 Pink Friday in Action! 💗

The Omega Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated Dining Squad proudly participated in Pink Friday by supporting a local Black-owned business, Posh Fog.

Every dollar spent is an investment in economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community growth. Together, we continue to make a difference—one meal, one purchase, and one act of support at a time.

The Pretty Girls Read Book Squad of
Omega Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated had an amazing time during our May book discussion of Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite.

We were blessed to gather in the beautiful home of our Sister, Nancy Travis, where fellowship and laughter filled the room. As always, our discussion was spirited and engaging, offering thoughtful perspectives on the book while strengthening the bonds of sisterhood that make our chapter so special.

A special thank you to Sister Jasmine D. Allen for our beautifully designed T-shirts, which added an extra touch of style and sisterly pride to the evening.
