1. Hiking is done outside.

2. Hiking usually has some elevation changes, meaning you will be going up and down hills.

3. Hiking is done on rougher terrain, where you may be walking on dirt, roots and rocks.

Pinhoti Fest is a yearly hiking festival where hikers and backpackers meet, camp out, and kick off the Pinhoti Trail hiking season. The festival is a great opportunity to spend the weekend outside, shake down camping and backpacking gear, and stay connected to the Alabama hiking community.
