Alabama ACTE

Alabama ACTE ALACTE is an organization for Career and Technical Education Teachers. They represent the membership and lobby for CTE teachers and their programs.

We are affiliated with the National Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), which is career and technical education's voice in Washington, DC. One of our main functions is to represent our membership before the legislature. We track legislation, educate legislators on career and technical education issues, attend meetings, and network with other education organizations. ALACTE

-sponsors with the Alabama State Department of Education an annual professional development workshop.

>Holds an annual Leadership seminar to promote leadership opportunities.

>Recognizes outstanding career and technical education teachers, educators, and new teachers with a awards program.

>Offers members to opportunity to purchase numerous publications and other resources through our affiliation with national ACTE.

>Provides opportunities for professional development.
