ALC is heartbroken to share that our dear friend, colleague, and former Executive Director Joel Moon, has passed away.

Joel poured his heart into the Alabama Loggers Council, working tirelessly to strengthen and grow this community. More than a leader, he was a mentor, and a true friend to so many. His humor, kindness, and steady presence touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him..

His legacy will live on through the people he mentored, the friendships he cherished, and the lasting impact he made on our industry. Joel will be deeply missed.

Please keep his beloved wife, Beth, and their family in your prayers. We will share information about arrangements as soon as it becomes available.

* Saturday, September 6, 2025 visitation is at 10:30 with the service at 12 noon at First Baptist Church Cullman.
