🚨 Montgomery ISD Freezer Sale – Save the Date! 🚨
If you currently have an animal, this info is for you! If your animal does not make sale YOU ARE NOT STUCK WITH IT - your AMAZING community has rallied to support you and you are fortunate to have an opportunity to sell an animal in the MISD FREEZER SALE!! ❄️
The 2026 Freezer Sale will take place on 🌟April 25, 2026 at 1520 Lone Star Pkwy, Montgomery, TX. Be watching for the Google Form sign-up released on April 20, 2026. (Set a reminder on your phone) I will post it here!!
Students will be given priority on a first-come, first-serve basis based on the order of the Google Form sign-up. The sign-up will be released after the County Fair Sale and is open to any student in MISD or a 4-H club within the Montgomery ISD zone of residence.
📌 Freezer Sale Reminders
1️⃣ Only one animal may be sold per exhibitor in the freezer sale.
2️⃣ The animal cannot have been entered or sold previously in another sale.
3️⃣ DO NOT remove your animal’s ear tag. Animals must have an ear tag to be sold and loaded on the trailer.
4️⃣ Exhibitors are responsible for advertising the sale and bringing in buyers. If you enter the freezer sale, you should be:
• Contacting potential buyers
• Sending buyer letters
• Visiting supporters in person to invite them to attend and bid
• Thanking them for supporting our ag programs
5️⃣ Weight entered on the Google Form should be show weight. Wash racks available for the public to use. Bring wipes, bucket, brush etc. to make sure your animal is clean for auction.
6️⃣ Estimated schedule:
⏰ 7-8:30AM – Check-in
⏰ Sale runs throughout the morning starting at 9am
⏰ Approx. 3:00 PM – Load out
Once your animal sells:
• Take it to the holding pen
• Write a thank-you letter to your buyer
• Address the envelope and turn it in at the Thank You Letter table so ag teachers can give you your check.
💰 Checks will be written directly from the buyer to the student on site, but all checks must be turned in to the ag teachers/business office. Checks will be distributed after thank-you letters are turned in.
📬 DO NOT mail your own thank-you letters. I will mail ALL thank-you letters.
🌮 Buyers will be provided drinks, breakfast tacos, and kolaches.
🛻 Processors - Flemings, K&C meat processor trailers will be available on site for animals purchased in the sale to be hauled directly to processors from the MISD Barn. 3 Cross meat ministries will take donated animals.
