As we celebrate Juneteenth, let us honor the enduring spirit of those who fought to end slavery. May this day serve as an inspiration to keep building a world where everyone can be free and thrive.

πŸ’™ Community coming together for families! πŸ’™

On June 12, Gift of Life Foundation Parent Educator Bailey Adair partnered with Sav-A-Life of Luverne to host the Bundle of Joy Drive-Through Event, collecting diapers, wipes, baby items, and monetary donations to support local families with infants and young children.

With help from Pike County Parent Educators Shay Toney and Laken Little, the event was a wonderful success and a beautiful example of what can happen when organizations and communities unite for a common purpose. One donor shared their heartfelt appreciation for the work being done by both programs, expressing immense gratitude that families in Crenshaw County have access to organizations dedicated to supporting parents and young children during critical stages of development.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make a difference for families across Crenshaw County! πŸΌπŸ’•

Gift of Life's June Group Connection focused on the important topic of Domestic Violence.

Mobile Family Coaching Supervisor Autumn Ellis organized the session which featured Brinkley Jones, Public Affairs Coordinator with Family Sunshine Center, who shared valuable information about recognizing the signs of domestic violence, available resources, where to seek help, and the many supportive services offered through Family Sunshine Center.

Participants received the parent handout, β€œCoping With Stress,” along with gift bags and a variety of educational materials provided by FSC. Most importantly, they left with knowledge, encouragement, and resources that can make a difference for individuals and families in our community.

πŸ’œ Thank you to Family Sunshine Center and Brinkley Jones for helping raise awareness and empowering families through education and support.

The Gift of Life Foundation recently partnered with the Charles Henderson Child Health Center for the June session, "Entering the Mom Era," on June 11, 2026. Parent Educators from Pike and Crenshaw Counties helped create a welcoming space where mothers and mothers-to-be could connect, learn, and support one another.

Special thanks to Mahogany Jordan, Healthy Steps Specialist, and Sav-A-Life of Troy for sharing valuable resources and information, including the Bright Course Program. Through meaningful conversations and activities, participants were reminded of the importance of community, self-grace, and the truth that there is no such thing as a β€œperfect” parent. πŸ’™
