Service in action! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Today, our Rhoers and Sorors came together to pack food for our local Heart of Alabama food bank, demonstrating the power of community service and compassion. We are proud to make a difference by helping provide meals and support to families in need. Together, we continue to live out our commitment to service and uplift those in our community.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing officers for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to moving our chapter forward. Your service has helped strengthen our foundation and inspire excellence.

πŸ’™πŸ’› Making Waves with Swim 1922! πŸ’›πŸ’™

The Beta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was honored to host an inspiring day of water safety, swim education, and empowerment through our signature Swim 1922 program.

A special thank you to our distinguished guest, Jamaican Olympian swimmer Soror Alia Atkinson, for sharing her incredible journey, encouraging our youth, and demonstrating the importance of confidence, discipline, and water safety. Her presence made this event truly unforgettable and inspired the next generation of swimmers to dream big and dive fearlessly into their future.

Together, we continue Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.’s commitment to promoting swim awareness, reducing drowning disparities, and creating opportunities for our communities to thrive.

The Beta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is just a day away from making a GREATER Impact in our community through our Swim 1922 Event. This event, catered to individuals aged 2-21, will feature U.S.A Olympian Alia Atkinson!

Swim 1922, in partnership with USA Swimming, is a signature national community service program of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. focused on water safety and drowning prevention.

Swim 1922 addresses the unfortunate truth that approximately 10 people drown everyday in the United States. An even more startling fact is that 70 percent of African American children and 60 percent of Hispanic children in the U.S. do not know how to swim. πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸŠπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ
