Today was a bittersweet day for our organization! A missing piece of our puzzle was gone in the presence of Board Member Lucille Wilcox! Her spirit was felt as paid homage to the legacy she has left behind! On behalf of the AnnieJohnson We would like to thank everyone who came out today and to those who couldn’t make it we understood! Our village is strong and resilient and together we will continue to make this celebration event something that will continue to inspire, encourage and motivate those who need our support! Thank you all for your support and donations that keep our scholarships going! Special thanks to Howard Garrett Jr. for delivering an amazing message and to Eric Burks for always supporting the community event!

The Annie Johnson Foundation grieves the passing of our beloved family member and board member, Mrs. Lucille Wilcox. Her unwavering dedication to scholarship opened doors of opportunity for countless recipients. Deeply rooted in her love for family, she remained steadfast in supporting the growth of the Newt and Drucilla Garrett Scholarship, established in honor of her parents. We are forever grateful for her exemplary service, leadership, and lasting impact on the Foundation.
