Congratulations to our Vice President, Bro. Dr. Ronnie A. Doughty, on being named Principal of Booker T. Washington Magnet High School.

Bro. Dr. Doughty is a proud BTW Magnet alumnus returning home to lead, and he brings 21 years in education with him as a teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, district education specialist, and school leader. The same service and dedication he gives our chapter, he has given to students and families across Montgomery Public Schools for more than two decades.

The Alpha Eta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is proud to congratulate the recipients of our Annual Dr. David James Hickman Scholarship, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship to support them as they continue their educational journey.

Scholarship is one of the three principles upon which our fraternity was founded, and we believe in putting that principle into action. As a chapter, we are proud to invest in the education of young people throughout the Montgomery area and help provide opportunities for them to continue pursuing their goals.

This weekend, the Historic Alpha Eta Sigma Chapter, alongside our fellow River Region Sigma chapters, had the honor of welcoming and hosting the Premier Southern Region Regional Board Retreat here in Montgomery, Alabama.

From fellowship to hospitality, it was our privilege to serve our Regional Director, Regional Board, State Directors, and brothers from across the Premier Southern Region. We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the brotherhood, excellence, and warm hospitality that the River Region Sigmas are known for.

During the Regional Board meeting, our Chapter President, Bro. Reginald Cook Sr., had the honor of bringing greetings on behalf of the Historic Alpha Eta Sigma Chapter, welcoming our distinguished guests to Montgomery and expressing our excitement as we prepare to host the 2027 Premier Southern Region Leadership Conference.

This weekend was more than a successful retreat, it was an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of service, collaboration, and excellence that will define our efforts as we prepare to welcome the Premier Southern Region back to Montgomery in 2027.
