This week, the MGSC Board says “see you later” to our immediate Past President and current 2nd Vice President, Chelsea Carlson, as she begins her family’s next PCS adventure.
One of the hardest parts of military life is saying goodbye to people who become family. While duty stations may change, the impact someone leaves behind doesn’t.
Chelsea’s leadership has shaped the Maxwell-Gunter Spouses’ Club in ways that will be felt for years to come. She has a gift for making everyone feel welcome, advocating for those around her, and bringing warmth, encouragement, and plenty of fun to every board meeting, program, event, and Thrift Shop shift. She led with grace, served with heart, and reminded us that the best leaders are those who help others feel seen and valued.
Chelsea, thank you for your countless hours of service, your unwavering dedication to MGSC, and for the friendships you’ve built along the way. It has been an honor to serve alongside you. Though we’re sad to see you go, we’re grateful that military life brought you to Maxwell, and we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes you.
As every military spouse knows, goodbye is rarely goodbye forever. It’s simply “until our paths cross again.”
On behalf of the MGSC Board, thank you for everything. We wish you and your family fair winds, safe travels, and all the best in your next adventure. You’ll always have friends waiting for you here.
