💐 75 Stories of Care | Remembering Betty Dowling

For nearly five decades, Mrs. Betty Dowling dedicated her life to caring for the residents of Noland Health Services, Inc. in Dothan.

Beginning her nursing career there in 1977, Betty became much more than a nurse to those around her. And she continued doing the work she loved until her passing in March 2026.

Today, we are honored to remember Betty Dowling and share her remarkable legacy as part of ANHA's 75 Stories of Care.

🌸 75 Stories of Care | Meet Shelby Ridge’s “Ambassador”

For nearly 20 years, Patricia Bradberry has called Rehab Select Shelby Ridge in Alabaster home—and she has spent those years making sure everyone who walks through its doors feels welcome.

Known as the facility’s “Ambassador,” Patricia has her own desk near the entrance, where she greets residents, families and visitors with smiles, hugs, handwritten poems, spiritual messages, candy and homemade cross bookmarks.

And that’s only the beginning!

🎣 75 Stories of Care | Back to the Great Outdoors

Residents at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC in Florence had an amazing time on their Father’s Day Men’s Fishing Trip — and this one was extra special!

It marked their first big resident outing since COVID, making it a day they won’t soon forget. The gentlemen enjoyed a beautiful day by the water, cast their lines, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed some delicious pizza and wings from The Rising Crust.

Some fish were caught… and, of course, “THE BIG ONE GOT AWAY!”
