Dear Colleagues,
Thank you again for your support of AAPD’s joint statement opposing the Department of Justice’s Interim Final Rule.
AAPD has now drafted a separate statement condemning the Interim Final Rule issued by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which extends the compliance deadlines for the digital accessibility requirements under the 2024 Section 504 regulation. We encourage organizations to join us in opposing the use of IFRs to weaken hard-won civil rights protections for people with disabilities.
