The wait is over — the 2026 season has officially kicked off, and we’re ready to bring the city together through the beautiful game.
Join us for “City of Montgomery Day” at the Emory Folmar YMCA Championship Stadium as we continue our mission to:
“Unite the City Through the Beautiful Game.”
Kickoff is at 7:00 PM, but the Fan Zone opens at 5:30 PM — and trust us, you’ll want to get there early!

Get ready to have a fin‑tastic time, Montgomery! 🐟💛 One of Montgomery Parks & Recreation’s favorite family-friendly events is making a splash this June — Free Fish Day! 🌊🎣

Bring your own fishing gear and spend a relaxing morning casting a line, swapping stories, and schooling around with family and friends at Gateway Park (3800 Davenport Drive). No fishing license needed — just come ready to catch some catfish and some good vibes! 😎🐱🐟

Plus, you can enjoy free cooked fish samples on-site — talk about a reel treat! 😋🔥
(Just a heads-up: staff won’t be able to clean your catches. You’ll need to tackle that part yourself! 🧤)

Before the big day, the pond will be stocked with hundreds of pounds of catfish, so you’ll have plenty of chances to get hooked! 🎣✨
