Montgomery, let's get ready together.

Hurricane Isaias is expected to reach our area Saturday as a tropical storm, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and the possibility of tornadoes. A Tropical Storm Watch and Flood Watch are in effect for our area through Sunday morning.

Please take a few simple steps today and tomorrow: bring in anything loose outside your home, charge your phones, gather flashlights and batteries, and have water and food that doesn't need cooking on hand. If you live near a creek or in a low spot, know where you would go if water rises.

Check on your neighbors, especially our elders and anyone living alone. A knock on the door means everything when you need help.

Strong Foundation is praying for every family in our community. If you need help after the storm, reach out to us at [email protected] . We'll get through this the way we always do — together.
Stay safe, Montgomery.

Today, Strong Foundation pauses to say thank you.

Twenty-five years ago, the world watched in disbelief as ordinary people in uniform did extraordinary things. They ran in when everyone else ran out. They gave everything, and some of them never came home.

To every first responder, whether you were there on September 11, 2001 or you put on that uniform today right here in our community, we see you. We honor you. We are grateful for you.

Your courage is the reason families feel safe. Your sacrifice is the reason communities like ours can heal, grow, and thrive.

Strong Foundation was built on the belief that it takes strong people to build strong communities. Today, we celebrate the men and women who remind us every single day what that looks like.

Thank you for your service and strength. Thank you for being the hands and feet of hope when it matters most.

We will never forget.
