Repost:
In 2023, a record 485 companies participated in the Disability Equality Index (DEI). These findings highlight the growing importance of across industries, shedding light on the progress being made and the work still to be done. Here are some of the top findings:

- This year's Report introduces a new lens for evaluating the lifecycle of disability inclusion efforts. The findings revealed that board-level inclusion practices have only been adopted by 7% of participating companies, mirroring the well-documented underrepresentation of people with disabilities in the workforce.

- Measurable growth demonstrates that more companies are prioritizing digital in their disability inclusion strategy. In the next few years, they will push into becoming Foundational Practices adopted by 70%.

- The Global DEI pilot revealed three key components for building an international culture: an in-country executive with a disability (or a strong ally), C-suite support, and a B/ERG that has been active for two years or more.

- The DEI is now trusted by more than 70% of Fortune 100 companies and nearly half of the Fortune 500 companies to benchmark their efforts comprehensively.
