With the passing of Rosalynn Carter, I want to share what she meant to our organization. Former president Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter were instrumental in building Habitat for Humanity into what it is today. With the "Carter Project" they are responsible for helping build over 4,300 houses over the years!!!! Prayers for the Carter Family as they mourn, and Habitat for Humanity mourns her death.

How long were Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter married? A look at the former first lady's life, legacy and family.

Our own Cedric Varner attended Dunkin Donuts backpack giveaway on Saturday. Michael Thomas, Chief Investigator, District Attorneys office and team were there for support. City Councilmen Oronde Mitchell & CC Calhoun were in attendance along with their Greek organization. More than 300 were on hand. It was a great event for the community.

MHFH had the honor of presenting a home to a precious family yesterday. We fulfilled our mission of providing decent housing to deserving families. Giving the opportunity for homeownership is a special thing. We hope to be able to do this on a regular basis. Thanks for all that helped make this mission a reality!
