Get more by being outdoors!

As many of our activities as possible take place outdoors! We know that our kids learn the most by having fun and through hands-on activities and there isn't anywhere that these two things come together better than in the outdoors.

Camping trips are a great way to boost a variety of skills, make progress towards rank advancement, and work on merit badges. Big Bend State Park was one of our recent camping trips - what a trip!

There's a merit badge for that!

Merit badges are a foundation of Scouts BSA - they give Scouts a chance to explore subjects and learn valuable skills. With over 135 merit badges that a Scout can earn (don't worry - not that many are required!!), there's something for everyone!

The Climbing merit badge is not as complicated as you might think to earn! There is a lot of focus on safety, knot tying, and equipment - which is as it should be! Troop 907 has already had access to several local BSA climbing facilities!

Even if climbing isn't your thing, Scouts BSA will have something to suit your interests and abilities. The foundations of self-reliance, leadership, and fortitude are valuable skills that will set your Scout up for life!
