Eagle Scout Projects galore!

Life Scout Michael B. finished the last part of his project Thursday night.

Michael is on the Robotics team, but also enjoys teaching intro robotics to elementary-aged youth. Michael is beginning to start his Senior year, and for his project he wanted to find a successor to run his elementary-level robotics program and expand it to 2 more elementary schools. In a culmination of his efforts working with Principals and teacher-sponsors and recruiting, he held an informative recruiting meeting encouraging more elementary students to join the program and potentially continue with either the HS robotics team OR the local 4-H robotics team.

Our scouts have returned from their spring break adventure in Florida where they learned to snowboard and then had the opportunity to swim with manatee!

Leadership starts here. ⚜️

As we celebrate President’s Day, we’re looking back at the Commanders-in-Chief who began their leadership journeys as Scouts. From the values of the Scout Law to the highest office in the land, these presidents prove that Scouting builds the character necessary for a lifetime of service.

Did you know?
🦅 Gerald Ford was the first Eagle Scout to become President.
🛶 John F. Kennedy was the first former Scout to be elected President.
⭐ George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden all participated in Scouting as youth.

Every time your Scout leads a patrol meeting or plans an outing, they are practicing the same skills used in the Oval Office. Who knows? The next name on this list might be in your Troop right now!

Scout Sunday Presentation attached. A year in review (briefly) with a lot dropped due to time restraints. Last year, we added an additional Eagle Scout to our ranks, and four more scouts are currently working on projects. Another Scout earned the Ambassador Tier of the Messengers of Peace Award, which only a few dozen earn annually nationwide.
