Thank you to everyone who was able to come out to this memorable Juneteenth Celebration! The rain may have driven us inside but what a glorious opportunity to move this celebration to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. We are so grateful for their hospitality and care for our community. We are especially grateful for the ways our vendors and performers (Morgan Sanders, Sariyah Love, Mirica Williams, and Hope Dance and Arts) quickly pivoted to make sure there was limited disruption and those in attendance could still benefit from their talents, inspiring words, and collective wisdom. Please accept our heartfelt congratulations to our honorees which were presented by Montevallo Council Person Leila Horton Mitchell to Roosevelt “Sam” Cunningham, Dr. Beverly Meadows and Calvin D. Meadows, and Edward Patrick.
