The little Center that could.
The Center is a volunteer led organization with a staff of 3 providing meals and activities.
The Montesano Community Center was formed in 2000 after the closing of the Senior lunch program that had been operating for many years in Montesano. The Center has a two part mission: to provide meal and activity programs for seniors to improve the quality of their lives and to provide a space that meets other needs in the community. For eight years the program consisted of lunches three days and week and operated with volunteers only. In 2009, a five day a week meal program was offered and more social opportunities added.
