With funding from The Pebble Beach Company Foundation, Read to Me Project helps prepare children for kindergarten and school success, with 95% of students served under the age of 13.

The Read to Me Project serves over 5,000 students throughout Monterey County completing more than 58,000 days of reading aloud to younger children. This strengthens fluency, confidence and leadership of older readers, while supporting the literacy development of younger children. Programs are based in classrooms and continued through at home with reading opportunities.

Funds from the Pebble Beach Company Foundation supported over 100 summer field trips and experiences with organizations like MEarth, Santa Lucia Conservancy, Ventana Wildlife Society, Point Lobos Summer Adventures, and Sea Star Horse Sanctuary. Over 300 students, ages 5–13 all from Seaside, participate in this year-round program that emphasizes Community Partnership for Youth (CPY)'s standards that are based on Respect and Integrity.
