From our friends at "In 1919, Charles Tamm planted the first vines at Chalone after discovering limestone soils that reminded him of his native Burgundy. Among them? Chenin Blanc—still producing today, over a century later.

These vines have weathered Prohibition, wild terrain, and winemaking evolution. What remains is something rare: Chenin Blanc with serious age, estate-grown on the slopes of an extinct volcano.

It’s a piece of Chalone history—and it still pours beautifully."

From our friends at "We’re beyond excited to present our first-ever vintage of estate sparkling Blanc de Blanc! This has been many years in the making and a true labor of love. We were initially inspired to create a sparkling wine because of our mother, Rusti’s, love of Champagne and all things bubbly 🫧 As with all of our endeavors, we keep her close to our hearts and hope to honor her with this special release.

Three years ago, we embarked on the journey of producing sparkling wine. Since 2022, we’ve allocated 100% of our estate Chardonnay to this program, knowing it would produce something truly amazing.

On the nose, you are instantly met with Meyer lemon zest, key lime, and crème brûlée. The wine opens with a refreshing, lively acidity that awakens the palate. Notes of green apple and lime are crisp and invigorating, balanced with the warm depth of rich brioche and a hint of ripe apricot. The minerality on the finish is clean and sharp, providing structure and balance. The acidity is vibrant but smooth, enhancing the wine’s freshness and offering a long, elegant finish.

From our friends at@tastemcintyre "Let's talk Old Vine Pinot Noir! On McIntyre Estate, the Old Vine Block was planted just over five decades ago. It is own rooted which is a rarity in California. Our crop is thinned to three tons per acre and row orientation runs north / south to provide even sun exposure from morning to afternoon. This block is also primarily dry farmed (no irrigation if possible).

Part of our initiative is to adapt best practices to grow smart and continue to farm for future generations to come. After all, it is the site that succeeds us in life.

We make a few wines with these heritage grapes: our Rosè of Pinot, an Old Vine Pinot and some juice for blending into other Pinot Noirs in our line up. Come visit us to some!"

American Viticultural Area (AVA) Spotlight: Monterey AVA. The Monterey AVA is the largest in the area, with over 40,000 acres, and extends the entire length of the county. Because it covers so much terrain, it has a diverse climate, which translates to exceptional grape diversity. Still, Chardonnay reigns supreme throughout the region, accounting for over 50% of vines in production.

Cooler weather, ocean breezes, and fog characterize the northern section, which produces cool-climate grapes like Riesling and Pinot Noir. In the South, it opens up to Salinas Valley, which can reach up to 100 degrees during the daytime. This warmer weather produces Bourdeaux varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), Rhone varietals (Syrah and Petite Sirah), and some Zinfandel.
