As June comes to a close, we're taking a moment to reflect on the importance of moving our bodies and calming our minds.

Last month, we joined the 2026 MYBCYM Day of Action and had the pleasure of seeing so many members prioritizing their well-being through movement, connection, and community. It was an inspiring reminder that even the smallest steps toward wellness can make a meaningful difference.

As we welcome a new month, and the second half of the year, we encourage you to continue finding ways to care for both your body and mind. Whether it's taking a few deep breaths or taking on an unplugged workout every step toward better health matters.

Let's keep moving, keep connecting, and keep making wellness a priority all year long. 💙

Across California, YMCAs offer hundreds of aquatic programs that help children and families build water safety skills. From swim lessons to Safety Around Water programs and lifeguard training, these programs help communities prepare for safe time in and around water. Through these programs, Ys across the state expand access to lifesaving water safety education. At the YMCA, water safety starts here.

As temperatures rise, more families head to pools, lakes, and beaches across California. Nearly half of drowning deaths in the state occur during the summer months, making water safety awareness especially important this time of year. Learning water safety skills and staying attentive around water can help prevent tragedies. At the YMCA, water safety starts here.
