In an era of managed care and short psychiatric hospital stays, how do we ensure that long-term, residential treatment options, like the Farm, remain a visible and viable option for those who need it most?
For Stacey Henson, LICSW, ACSW, Gould Farm’s director of clinical outreach, the answer lies in building authentic partnerships. Many of you know the way the Gould Farm mission in realized in our barns, kitchen, and gardens; but for a guest to finally find their way to the front door of Main House, a bridge of trust has to be built.
Stacey's role, which often takes her away from the Berkshires and into clinical offices and conferences around the country, is an important part of that bridge. Her work ensures that when a family is in crisis, their clinician knows why the Farm’s model of care might be a fit for the individual in need.
