💜 YAC is a non-profit art studio, focused on uplifting our young artists.
📍Monterey, CA

YAC is a nonprofit, after school art studio and mentorship program for high school and college artists – brilliant and struggling, confident and fringe, multi-ethnic, multi-tempered, and over 40% financially challenged. They learn art, job, and life skills, and gain a healthy dose of self-esteem and gratitude along the way. YACsters learn to believe in themselves, take creative risk, and give back

. 100% graduate from high school. 95% of YACsters go on to university, college, and art college – many on scholarships. YAC is an incubator for some of our community’s future creatives, whether they end up in the arts, education, business, or science. YAC provides supplies, studio space, art training, exhibition and commission opportunities, individual mentoring, and a community unlike any other.

Visit us on Saturday (August 22nd) at Captain + Stoker’s Sand City location from 11am-6pm, and watch as a lively circle of student artists and professionals draw your portrait all at once. You’ll leave with specialty coffee, lots of portraits to hang on your wall, and maybe some merch from local artists as well.

Grab a cup of coffee from our friends at C A P T A I N + S T O K E R and join us for YAC’s famous Sketch Circle, artist merch booths, and pop-up show during West End Celebration 2026!

Step into the spotlight, strike your best pose, and watch as a lively circle of student artists and professionals draw your portrait all at once. You’ll leave with a stack of one-of-a-kind drawings to take home. Bring your partner, your dog, your kids, or even your motorcycle! Everyone (and almost everything) is welcome to pose.

Then, browse incredible original artwork at the YAC pop-up show, meet the artists behind the work, and shop unique prints, stickers, and more at our artist merch booths. We’re thrilled to highlight YACster Avery Cadence Yee | Watercolor Artist who will be selling their work alongside fellow YAC artists. 

You’ll leave with specialty coffee, lots of portraits to hang on your wall, and maybe some merch from local artists as well. We’re excited to see you at The West End Celebration !

We have an amazing community.

Not only did you help us surpass our goal for ARTathon in June, but you’ve also put us on track to hit our Summer Fundraiser goal! It was so exciting to see our amazing community at the Summer Show! ☀️ The turnout was incredible for this year’s show, as was the artwork from our YACsters.

The Summer Show 2026 is TOMORROW! All of our YACster’s and mentor’s pieces are framed, hung up on the wall, and ready to be enjoyed by our amazing community!
