A Toast to Mary Chamberlin!

With heavy hearts, Les Dames d' Escoffier International Monterey Bay and the Board of the American Institute of Wine & Food (Monterey Bay chapter) reports that Board Emeritus, Mary Chamberlin, passed away on December 31, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Even though Mary’s health had been declining recently, we are all shocked that she is gone and will miss her dearly.

Mary has touched so many organizations and people during her long career including AIWF (local and National), Les Dames d’Escoffier, Disciples of Escoffier, Escoffier Cooking Schools, Meals on Wheels and numerous family and friends. Every local chef knew Mary and loved what she represented in her profession; creativity, kindness, skill, dedication, warmth and humor. Her smile, laugh and humor were the best!
