LA SCALA
The mission of the Spanish Club LA SCALA at ELAC is to assist students in achieving proficiency in the Spanish language and to lead them to an understanding and appreciation of the wide range of Latin American cultures and to assist its community. Through our life experiences we have learned that learning and knowing other languages opens doors to communicating, sharing, and getting to
know millions of other people in the world. Embracing our culture we enrich our selves and help us become better global citizens. Our club seeks to bridge the gaps between countries, melts away borders, and through this we can make a difference. The Spanish Club is an environment outside of the classroom where those who have a passion for Spanish-speaking culture can get together, participate in activities and meet other like-minded ELAC students. Additionally, the club honors the importance of helping the community by participating in community service projects. This club is student-led, providing students with the chance to develop their leadership skills and make a difference in their community.
