Montebello-Commerce YMCA’s Thank You Social Highlights Impact and Partnerships

he Montebello-Commerce YMCA welcomed community leaders and supporters to its annual Thank You Social on June 18 at Simonian Gardens, celebrating a year of service, partnership, and impact.

During the evening, YMCA leaders highlighted several recent accomplishments, including securing a significant grant championed by Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis expanding gym access and swim classes, and distributing food and essential resources to families affected by immigration enforcement.

YMCA leadership reflected on the importance of honoring those who built the foundation of the organization while encouraging the next generation of leaders, volunteers, and donors to create legacies of their own through service and community engagement.

A special moment recognized Wally Takata who is receiving the Los Angeles Metro YMCA's Waller Taylor II Award. Wally is recognized for his lifelong commitment to service making a lasting impact on our community.

Guests enjoyed food provided by Pops Mediterranean, Organica, and Brioche Pastries while celebrating the partnerships that help strengthen the Montebello-Commerce community.

The Montebello-Commerce YMCA thanks its communities for their trust in partnership is it continues to improve the lives of youth, families, and seniors.
