The purpose of this post is to contact the Governor and have him not sign them on October 10, 2021. Neighborhood Alert
My name is Jorge Martinez and I am a long time resident of the city of Montebello in Los Angeles County. It was brought to my attention by my friend Edmond Veloz, also a long time resident of Montebello, that the nature and integrity of our Califo
rnia neighborhoods is in danger of radical change at the hands of developers, enabled by state senators Toni Atkins (of District 39) and Scott Wiener (of District 11) and their senate bills SB9 and SB10. They would get a free hand at re-zoning land parcels any way they see fit, without interference from city councils, county supervisors, or of dissenting residents of an affected area, or of our environmental ordinances. This impending disaster will befall all California cities and neighborhoods if Senate Bills SB9 and SB10 are signed into law by Governor Newsom on October 10, 2021. So I ask all readers of this posting to please look over the included letter to the Governor and if you do not wish to give up your rights to plan your own neighborhoods to your own liking or keep them the way they are now, single family residences. Please print the letter if you agree with it, sign it and mail it to the Governor and it helps a lot if you are a registered voter. To also leave a recorded comment the phone number is (916)445-2841. They don't allow email attachments and I tried and failed to copy and paste the letter into the allotted email space. Two more requests of readers of this post:
1). If you contact the Governor by mail, phone, fax or email. Please send me a comment telling me so. I would like to keep a running tally of the contacts.
2). Please share this facebook post with every California friend you have, because it will affect us all if it becomes law. Sincerely Yours,
Jorge Martinez
