This isn’t our first rodeo. In fact, Monte Vista is the proud home of Colorado’s oldest rodeo.
For 104 years, this classic event brings our community together for a weekend of action, from bull riding and barrel racing to calf roping and more.
This year’s rodeo is extra special because it’s a celebration for America’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th birthdays, all in one action-packed Colorado summer weekend you don’t want to miss.

Start on Main Street with the parade:
horses, wagons, and crowds lining the curb.
Then head to the arena after dark when
everything picks up speed.
