The Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) has awarded a $47,000 grant to the Montclair Public Schools - NJ to help fund LinkIt!, a new district-wide data and assessment platform.

As outlined in a communication from Superintendent Ruth B. Turner to MPS families, “LinkIt! will allow teachers, administrators, and support staff to access academic, attendance, assessment, behavior, and social-emotional learning data in one secure location, making it easier to identify student needs and respond with timely support.”

MFEE, an independent non-profit, seeks to support systems and create conditions that allow excellent teaching, informed families, and student success to flourish. The organization believes this investment, in partnership with MPS, advances three key mission priorities:

* Supporting educators.
* Advancing educational equity.
* Partnering with families.

Removing barriers to student success takes sustained commitment and investment, and it often means supporting the whole student, including the families and communities around them.

To our Sabor Montclair sponsors, thank you for your generous partnership, which helps us respond to students’ evolving needs, strengthen the support systems around them, and create greater opportunities for them to reach their full potential. 💕

MFEE was happy to once again support the College & Career Fair at Montclair High School. The Oct. 8 event hosted representatives from dozens of colleges and universities, and featured information about career paths, scholarships, financial aide, and more. Kudos to the MHS counseling team for connecting students to resources and helping them explore a range of opportunities beyond high school.
