HighschoolNGOconnect works to create futures for students and teachers. HighschoolNGOconnect in Montclair, New Jersey, was created in early 2016 when our founder, Steven Mintz, began reporting stories about global philanthropy for the Economist Intelligence Unit - a research branch of The Economist(R) newspaper. He noticed that outstanding non-governmental organization (NGO) leaders were building

homes, distributing food, staffing schools, and furnishing medical care to victims of political winds, natural disasters, and disease. This inspired him to get involved because he realized that important causes do not get adequate recognition.
