Pamela and Paul Caine, the founders of Griffin Cares Foundation, lost their son Griffin Matthew at 13 days old in 1996. For over 25 years, they have been working as activists, fundraisers, advisors, and mentors to help families connect with other families and access peer support, resources, and care following pregnancy or infant loss.

POL and Griffin Cares Foundation cohost our annual Getting Through the Holidays panel, and regularly refer loss parents to each other. We look forward to working together in the years to come!

The Hudson Shea Foundation was established in 2011 after the devastating loss of Adam and Melissa Yoskowitz’ first born child Hudson Shea. Since then, the organization has been offering a men’s support group, addressing an often overlooked population after the loss of a baby. They also established the Hudson Shea and Stella Faith Research Fund which supports pregnancy and infant loss research at the Child Health Institute of NJ at the Rutger’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.

Adam serves on the POL Board and the two organizations have a long lasting relationship committed to supporting loss families.

The Andreas Foundation was established by Ryan K. Brown, Jr and Iman McDonnaugh-Brown following the heartbreaking loss of their beloved son, Andreas Darius Brown, in March 2023.

In the midst of unimaginable grief, they were met with overwhelming medical terminology, unanswered questions, and a profound lack of accessible resources for families affected by neonatal encephalopathy. They recognized a critical gap, as families navigating neonatal encephalopathy and infant loss needed clearer information, stronger advocacy, and compassionate community support.

Their mission includes:

-Supporting and promoting research that increases understanding and prevention
-Expanding educational initiatives for families and communities
-Providing compassionate resources for those navigating diagnosis and loss
-Advocating for greater awareness and systemic support
